Ceramic tile edge polisher.
Whether it s a floor countertop or backsplash polishing ceramic tile is an easy task that only costs a few cents.
As you move up the grit levels you go from sanding to polishing and the final 3200 grit will really smooth and darken the polished edge.
It is important with the lowest grit 70 grit to remove all the cutting marks from the tile edge.
Just place your tile on a flat firm surface holding the end down with your non dominant hand.
Then place the file on the edge about an inch from the tip and push downward in a single smooth stroke.
Run the grinder along the edge of the tile that has been rounded by continuously moving the grinder along and over the edge.
Repeat this process until the edges are no longer sharp.
Do not leave the angle grinder in one spot on the tile for too long as this may mark the tile.
Turn on the angle grinder and apply the buffing pad to the tile s edge.
Roll the pad back and forth across the edge of the tile and along the length of it.
Keep the pad moving constantly and don t.
Switch to a finer grit file to continue refining until the edges are smooth and polished.
If you have a larger job you will want to invest in a power grinder polisher and a set of polishing pads.
Fit an angle grinder with a polishing pad to polish the edge of the tile.
